Senegal set up a final meeting with Ghana in the 2013 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone ‘B’ tournament after beating Liberia 2-0 on Tuesday (November 26) in Kumasi.Midfielder Dominique Mendy and forward Talla Ndiaye scored in each half to ensure the Senegalese finished at the summit of Group B with the maximum nine points.Les Lionceaux reached the final being the only team with a 100-percent record after victories against Niger (2-0) and Togo (3-1) in previous games.

In the other Group B match, holders Togo beat Niger 3-1 but it was not enough to topple the Senegalese at the apex.Senegal will square hosts Ghana in the final on Thursday, November 28 in Kumasi whilst neighbours Benin and Togo slug it out in the battle for bronze.The eight-nation tournament climaxes the current year for the WAFU Zone ‘B’. It is also to gauge the preparations of Ghana and Burkina Faso ahead of next year’s Orange African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa.Other participants are Benin, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone and Togo.
